Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the English language curriculum and daily activities.
2. Provide a wide range of small group activities that is culturally and developmentally
appropriate in all developmental areas.
3. Provide an appropriate English language role model.
4. Assist with supervision of children's activities, transition periods, meals,
nap time and clean up time.
5. Assist with the compiling and maintenance of students' portfolios.
6. Document in the Child Observation Notes Binder regularly.
7. Enforce safety rules in indoor and outdoor activities.
8. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
9. Participate in staff meeting, in-service training, conference, workshops,
and school related events.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Prior work experience with young children in a childcare setting.
2. Possession of at least 6 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Developmentfrom
an accredited college or university.
3. Ability to work in a team setting.
4. Fluency in verbal and written English.
5. Sensitivity to the needs of children from a diverse ethnic background.
Salary:
Salary will be based on qualifications. Medical/dental and benefits available
after probation period.
Work
Hours:
Monday through Friday 8AM - 4PM (9 months) and 8AM - 1PM (summer:3 months).
